@Pita, we are nearing the release of our game using your monster pack. We mashed up this game set with some other assets to create "Modite Adventure". Below is some gameplay footage.

Interesting, it looks like an action RPG, right?
To which platform is the game being released?

Yes. We're releasing it for the LDK Game console.

So the game I am working on (using this monster pack) is for the Atari Jaguar, and it's called "Kings of Edom"

Hello Pita :)

I like the work you did here. I also have a 16x16 pkg. Interested in a bundle in november ?

Have a good day !

I am interested in more monsters of the same size, and with the same moves, as I need more different monster types for my game. Currently I have done 2 variations of the existing ones (using a different color map), e.g. Pale Orc, and Toxic Slime.

maybe make more enemies , a boss or more area's

Actually I am quite fine with the 16x16 size characters now, as I changed the tiles to fit the new size. Still I am wondering if you would be interested to do more monster of the same size? Here is a video of the game (on Atari Jaguar) so far:

Very cool, phoboz. I love to see people developing for old consoles and want to try my hand at it one day myself.

I don't want to rule out future monster packs, but it isn't a priority for me right now.

If/when I make more monster packs, they'll be at the same scale as this pack so that they can be used together in the same project.

Great, I hope that you will. I got the feedback from the community (Atari Age forum) that people are really looking forward to this game, as there were not many RPGs for the Atari Jaguar (only one in first person perspective)

I am now using all the monsters, with all the animation frames in the game. There are enough for levels, because 4 monsters are available from start, and 2 new types appear per level. Perhaps I will reuse the existing ones, but with other colors for the stronger ones.

Hello Pita,

I am working on a rouge-like RPG for the Atari Jaguar. I am considering this monster pack, but my current hero is 16x24 pixels. So maybe I need to change the hero because of that. Therefore I wonder if the hero is included in this pack, or do I need to get the tileset pack for that? Currently my game has other tiles, so I don't need them. Also I am wondering if you would be interested to make some more monsters, preferable a little bit taller (e.g. 16x24 pixels)?

These (and your other graphics) are absolutely beautiful, thank you so much for making them!

I'm currently attempting to kickstart a game which uses them. Hopefully it will be successful and I can send some of the money raised your way - as my current finances did not allow me to pay as much as I think your amazing work deserves.

I love these sprites, and join the other voices hoping for another pack with more heroes and monsters!

I used this pack for my first game jam, everybody liked the art more then the game itself! These are really good sprites, with very good animations too

Hi Pita, very good job so I need more monster to build my game. Can I bouy other monsters?

And heroes?

Thank you!

Great tile sets.  I purchased them all.  Any plans on making another pack with additional hero's and possibly another monster pack?

This spritesheet is FIRE!!!! perfect for small projects!

I did my first game using it

Make sure you get the Dungeon pack that goes along with this which is also spectacular!

what is the size of the characters?

16x16 pixels mainly. The larger characters (orc, troll) stand a bit taller than that. They also extend beyond 16x16 during various animations.

Hi there! I just bought this awesome pack to use as park of some web game development, but it's just occurred to me I will be hosting code / assets on GitHub, so downloading is only a right click away. I wanted to check whether this is ok or not. If not I totally, totally understand and will avoid doing this, but I thought no harm in checking! Many thanks again for the amazing art!

Hi drpumpkinhead,

The license doesn't allow you to let users extract and use the assets for other things, so I think there needs to be some kind of attempt to package it. BUT If that's unavoidable because of the nature of your project, I'm ok with it as long as it's clear to the users that they can't use 'em. Just include in the readme (or somewhere noticeable) 'hey these assets aren't free!' and point them in this direction!

Thanks Pita! I am not aware of any way to package so its totally not accessible (but I will have a look around), I think what I might do for now is work locally but not publish and have a think over a potential solution. The project is a bit tech-demo-ey so what I might do eventually is add the text to the readme and only use 1 sprite rather than all of them, that would be enough for my purpose and then there is only one available if people decide to be naughty. Or maybe I will remove the sprites for placeholders and get people to add their own if they want to build the project (with a recommend link to your assets ofc!) Many thanks again!

now we just need a boss pack and we're set. oh and maybe UI that fits the artstyle

Nice Idea!

Nice demo! Keep it up!

My day has been made with this pack, man :)
